Comment
Iskandar, 1995, Raffles Bull. Zool., 43: 309–311, reported on a second specimen from the vicinity of the type locality and redescribed the species. Santoso, Shonleben, Sapari, and Sadikin, 2006, Herpetol. Bull., London, 98: 7–9, reported a specimen from central Kalimantan (Borneo), Indonesia. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 155. Rachmayuningtyas, Bickford, Kamsi, Kutty, Meier, Arifin, Rachmanasah, and Iskandar, 2011, J. Threatened Taxa, 3: 1981–1989, reported on new localities, biology, habitat, genetic variation, and conservation status. Wijaya, Junardi, and Riyandi, 2020, Protobiont, 9: 161–166, described habitat. Blackburn, Gray, and Stanley, 2024, Curr. Biol., 34: 374–375, demonstrated that contra Bickford, Iskandar, and Barlian, 2008, Curr. Biol., 18: 374–375, the species has both lungs and a glottis, albeit reduced.
