Ischnocnema garciai Taucce, Canedo, and Haddad, 2018, Herpetol. Monogr., 32: 14. Holotype: CFBH 39028, by original designation. Type locality: "Usina da Fumaça, municipality of Muriaé, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil (21°0′57.6″S, 42°26′36.6″W, 430 m a.s.l.)". 

Common Names

Distribution

Known only from (1) the type locality at Usina da Fumaça, municipality of Muriaé, (2) in Cataguases Municipality, and (3) along the Upper Glória River, all in eastern Minas Gerais, Brazil.

In the Ischnocnema guentheri group and previously confused with Ischnocnema oea according to the original publication, and of Taucce, Canedo, Parreiras, Drummond, Nogueira-Costa, and Haddad, 2018, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 128: 123–146. Assis, Novaes, Mendonça, Dias, Guedes, Silva, and Feio, 2024, Reptiles & Amphibians, 31(e21284): 1–10, discussed the range and provided a dot map of the distribution.
