Diasporus darienensis Batista, Köhler, Mebert, Hertz, and Veselý, 2016, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 178: 274. Holotype: SMF 97304, by original designation. Type locality: "on the ridge of Pirre mountain range, ~3 km north from the peak of Cerro Pirre, Parque Nacional Darién (PND), Distrito de Pinogana, Darién, Panama . . . (7.97312 N, 77.70785 W; 1143 m a.s.l.)".
