Eleutherodactylus ruthae bothroboans Schwartz, 1965, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 132: 494. Holotype: MCZ 43189, by original designation. Type locality: "12 km northeast of Jarabacoa, 2100 feet (640 m), La Vega Province, República Dominicana".

Interior uplands of the Cordillera Central in the Dominican Republic, ca. 640 m elevation.
