Eleutherodactylus counouspeus Schwartz, 1964, Breviora, 208: 2. Holotype: MCZ 43199, by original designation. Type locality: "Grotte de Counou Bois, 1 mi (1.6 km) southwest of Perrin, Dépt. du Sud, Haiti".
