Known only from the type locality (El Nacimiento, near 12 km northeast of the municipality of Tanlajás, San Luis Potosí, Mexico).

Comment

The sister taxon of Eleutherodactylus campi according to the original publication, where comparative external morphology and molecular markers were detailed. Hernández-Austria, García-Castillo, and Parra-Olea, 2024, Zootaxa, 5471: 433–450, discussed the molecular phylogenetics of the species and provided a dot map of the distribution.
