Eleutherodactylus wetmorei sommeri Schwartz, 1977, Herpetologica, 33: 68. Holotype: CM 56837, by original designation. Type locality: "2.4 km E Carrefour Marmelade, ± 1037 m, Département de l'Artibonite, Haiti".

Distribution

Northern Haiti (Massif du Nord) into Dajabón and Elias Piña provinces, Dominican Republic, in the extreme western Cordillera Central, 700–1040 m elevation.

Powell, 1993, Herpetol. Rev., 24: 135-137, suggested that Eleutherodactylus wetmorei sommeri warranted binominal status.
