Breviceps batrachophiliorum Du Preez, Netherlands, and Minter, 2025, Afr. J. Herpetol., 74: 196. Holotype: SAIAB 141902, by original designation. Type locality: "the steep grassy slope of a road cutting on the R617 road near Boston, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa (29.63745°S; 30.12201°E)".

Comment

Mostly closely related to Breviceps verrucosus, according to the original publication, where the species were distinguished by morphology, advertisement call, and 16S mtDNA distance.
