Amazophrynella matses Rojas-Zamora, Carvalho, Ávila, Farias, Gordo, and Hrbek, 2015, Zootaxa, 3946: 93. Holotype: MZUNAP 921, by original designation. Distribution

Known from four localities on the right bank of the Ucayali River in the state of Loreto, northeastern Peru: Requena, around Jenaro Herrera community, Nuevo Salvador, and the Matses Indian Reserve.
