Bufo (Anaxyrus) monfontanus  Gordon, Simandle, Sandmeier, and Tracy, 2020, Copeia, 108: 178. Holotype: CAS 259273, by original designation. Type locality: "United States, Nevada, Nye County, Hot Creek Canyon, 38°32′19.32″N, 116°27′32.9″W".

Anaxyrus monfontanus — Here (28 March 2020). Note from DRF. It is unclear to me what the authors are attempting to do with the original formulation of the name inasmuch to get this species into Bufo requires enormous taxonomic realignments in the New and Old Worlds. See comment under Bufonidae.
