Comment

See Inger, 1966, Fieldiana, Zool., 52: 1-402, for distribution. See identification table by Manthey and Grossmann, 1997, Amph. Rept. Südostasiens: 30, to compare this species with others in the Sunda Shelf region. Malkmus, Manthey, Vogel, Hoffmann, and Kosuch, 2002, Amph. Rept. Mount Kinabalu: 63, doubted the existence of this species in Sabah and noted confusion in the literature regarding the identification of specimens. Matsui, 2006, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 25: 1-14, reported the species in Sabah. See statement of geographic range, habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 610. Das, 2007, Amph. Rept. Brunei: 23, provided a photograph and a brief account.
