Ansonia hanitschi Inger, 1960, Fieldiana, Zool., 39: 484. Holotype: BMNH 1899.8.19.13, by original designation. Type locality: "Kadamaian River at 4,200 feet on Mount Kina Balu, North Borneo", Malaysia (Borneo).

Kinabalu Slender Toad (Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 99). 

Distribution

Mountains for northern Sarawak (Mount Mulu) and western Sabah (Mount Kinabalu, Mount Lumaku, Crocker Range), Malaysia (Borneo), 750-1600 m elevation; in adjacent montane northern Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Natural Resident: Indonesia, Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)
