Comment
Grismer, 2006, Zootaxa, 1327: 1327: 1–27, reported that specimens previously reported as Ansonia malayana from Tasan, Chumphon Province, Thailand, are actually of this species, which they differentiated on the basis of comparative morphology. Wood, Grismer, Ahmad, and Senawi, 2008, Herpetologica, 64: 321–340, provided comparative information for this and other species from the Malayan Peninsula. Chan-ard, Cota, and Makchai, 2011, Amph. E. Region Thailand: 127, detailed the range in Thailand. Niyomwan, Srisom, and Pawangkhanant, 2019, Field Guide Amph. Thailand: 172–173, provided a brief account (photographs, habitat, and range) for Thailand (in Thai). See Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 1–110, for comments on systematics, conservation, and biogeography. Zug, 2022, Smithson. Contrib. Zool., 653: 13, discussed identification, habitat, and expected range in Myanmar.
