Type locality: "Colombia, Departamento del Cauca, Municipio El Tambo, Corregimiento 20 de Julio, Hacienda 'El Tambito' de la Fundación Proselva, ca. 2° 28′ latitud N, 76° 50′ W de Greenwich, 1380–1580 m."
