Distribution
Darien Mountain range in northeastern Panama and northwestern Colombia, as well as in the eastern Panamanian montane forests and Chocó–Darién moist forests.
Comment
Most closely related to Atelopus certus and Atelopus glyphus, according to the original publication, where a mtDNA tree was provided as well as descriptions of external morphology, calls, and previous relevant literature
