Atelopus galactogaster Rivero and Serna, 1993 "1991", Brenesia, 36: 16. Holotype: MHNCSJ 2264, by original designation. Type locality: "Antadó, margin of Río San José, Municipio de Ituango, Depto. de Antioquía, Colombia".

Common Names

Antado Stubfoot Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 39).

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality on the northern versant of the Cordillera Occidental of Antioquia, Colombia, ca. 1500 m elevation.

Comment

Related to Atelopus carauta, perhaps Atelopus longibrachius, and two undescribed species, one from the Quebrada La Lachera in Santander, Colombia, and from Cisnero in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, according to the original publication.
