Comment

Confused with Atelopus bomolochos prior to its description according to the original publication. See Guayasamin, Bonaccorso, Duellman, and Coloma, 2010, Zootaxa, 2574: 55–68, for discussion of evidentiary ambiguities regarding the recognition of this taxon. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 2: 239–240, provided an account, with photographs, which summarized identification, adult morphology, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
