Atelopus oxapampae Lehr, Lötters, and Lundberg, 2008, Herpetologica, 64: 370. Holotype: MUSM 19875, by original designation. Type locality: "km 34 at 1770 m elevation on Oxapampa-Yaupi road, Distrito de Chontabamba, Provincia de Pasco, Departamento de Pasco, Peru (10° 44′ 44.4″ S, 75° 30′ 02.2″ W)".

Distribution

Known from cloud forest localities in the Departments of Pasco and Junin, central Peru, at elevations of 1700–2222 m.

Comment

Most closely related to Atelopus tricolor and an unnamed species from the Departamento de Cusco, Peru, according to the original publication where comparative morphology was detailed. García Ayachi, Venegas, Roca-Rey Ross, Almora, Aznaran, Quispe, and Catenazzi, 2025, Rev. Latinoam. Herpetol., 8: 229–233, provided new localities in Pasco and Junin Departments, Peru, included a dot distribution map, and added to natural history observations.
