Atelopus pedimarmoratus Rivero, 1963, Caribb. J. Sci., 3: 121. Holotype: FMNH 81872, by original designation. Type locality: "San Isidro, [Departamento de] Cundinamarca, Colombia".

English Names

San Isidro Stubfoot Toad (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 39).

Distribution

Páramo and subpáramo habitat on the western versant in the Cordillera Oriental, Cundinamarca, Colombia, and doubtfully from Caucá, in the Cordillera Central (see comment), between 2600 and 3100 m elevation.

Toad Genus Atelopus: 41, suggested that the Cauca localities (by Cochran and Goin, 1970, Bull. U.S. Natl. Mus., 288: 130) were doubtful on geographic grounds. Osorno-Muñoz and Ardila-Robayo, 2004, in Rueda-Almonacid et al. (eds.), Libro Rojo Anf. Colombia: 193–197, provided an account and map.
