Bufo celebensis Günther, 1859 "1858", Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus.: 60. Syntypes: BMNH, by original designation; BMNH 1947.2.10.71–72 (formerly 1848.8.19.23 and 1944.2.2293b), by museum reocrds. Type localities: "Celebes" (= Sulawesi, Indonesia) and "India" (apparently in error).
