NHMB 2384, incorrectly considered holotype by Grandison, 1985, in Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 70. Type locality: "Ukami, [Uluguru Mountains,] German East Africa [= Tanzania]".

East Usambaras through to the Udzungwas between about 300 to 1500 m elevation in forest to forest margins, Tanzania.
