Bufo florentinoi Moreno and Rivalta González, 2007, Solenodon, 6: 61. Holotype: CZACC 14.3085, by original designation. Type locality: "Gironcito, Playa Girón, Península de Zapata, provincia Matanzas, 224′ 9.62″ N y 811′ 10.81″ W", Cuba.

Indies: 27, summarized the natural history literature (as Bufo florentinoi). Alonso, Hernández, and Rodriguez, 2010, Amphibia-Reptilia, 31: 265–272, reported on the advertisement call. Rivalta González, Rodríguez Schettino, Mancina, and Iturriaga, 2014, Smithson.
