Distribution
Known only from southwestern Namibe Province, southwestern Angola on granite inselbergs.

Comment
In the Bufo vertebralis group, most similar to Bufo dombensis, according to the original publication. Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 73, provided an account. Not seen since the initial publication, according to Liedtke, Müller, Rödel, Menegon, Gonwouo, Barej, Gvoždík, Schmitz, Channing, Nagel, and Loader, 2016, Evolution, 70: 1717–1733. See distribution map in Ceríaco, Marques, Bandeira, Agarwal, Stanley, Bauer, Heinicke, and Blackburn, 2018, ZooKeys, 780: 112. Marques, Ceríaco, Blackburn, and Bauer, 2018, Proc. California Acad. Sci., Ser. 4, 65 (Suppl. II): 68, provided a map for Angola and discussed the literature. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph.
