Hamburg. Zool. Mus. Inst., 104: 147, provided a brief description of specimens (as Pedostibes hosii) from Sarawak. Das, 2007, Amph. Rept. Brunei: 30, provided a photograph and brief account (as Pedostibes hosii). Placed into Rentapia by Chan, Grismer, Zachariah, Brown, and Abraham, 2016, PLoS One, 11(1: e0145903): 9. Niyomwan, Srisom, and Pawangkhanant, 2019, Field Guide Amph.
