Bufo cristinae Vélez-Rodriguez and Ruiz-Carranza, 2002, Herpetologica, 58: 453. Holotype: ICN 26240, by original designation. Type locality: "Vereda Tarquí, Km 53-54 on Carreterra Altamira-Florencia, Municipio de Florencia, Departamento del Caquetá, Colombia, 1350 m elevation".

Known only from the type locality (Municipio de Florencia, Departamento del Caquetá, Colombia, 1350 m elevation); presumably occur in adjacent Brazil.

Comment
Similar to members of Rhinella (as the Bufo margaritifer group) and Rhamphophryne according to the original publication. Fouquet, Gaucher, Blanc, and Vélez-Rodriguez, 2007, Zootaxa, 1663: 18, excluded this species from the Rhinella margaritifera group.
