Sclerophrys berghei (Laurent, 1950)
Bufo berghei Laurent, 1950, Rev. Zool. Bot. Afr., 44: 1. Holotype: MRAC unnumbered by original designation. Type locality: "Makamba (Alt. 1500 m.), Terr. de Bururi, Urundi [= Burundi]".

Distribution
Known with certainty from several localities in Burundi and Rwanda; possibly into eastern Dem. Rep Congo and Uganda.

Natural Resident: Burundi, Rwanda
Likely/Controversially Present: Congo, Democratic Republic of the, Uganda
Comment
Removed from the synonymy of Sclerophrys funerea (which it had been placed by Hulselmans, 1970, Rev. Zool. Bot. Afr., 81: 152) by Dehling and Sinsch, 2023, Diversity, 15 (512): 19, who discussed the range, identification, natural history, advertisement call, and conservation status in Rwanda.
