Comment
In the Bufo blanfordii group; see discussion by Tandy and Feener, 1985, in Schuchmann (ed.), Proc. Internatl. Symp Afr. Vert.: 563-572. Largen, 2001, Tropical Zool., 14: 319-320, commented on habitat and distribution and noted that the populations from Awash National Park might represent a distinct species. See account (as Bufo langanoensis), photograph, and map for Ethiopia and Eritrea by Largen and Spawls, 2010, Amph. Rept. Ethiopia Eritrea: 90. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 64–65, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map.
