PEM A837 (formerly AMG 7248) designated lectotype by Conradie, Branch, and Watson, 2015, Zootaxa, 3936: 55–57, who commented on the type series. Type locality: "Gleniffer, Kei Road, C[ape]. P[rovince].", Rep. South Africa.

Distribution

Thorveld and open savanna in extreme southeastern Western Cape Province through southern Eastern Cape Province to Albert Falls, 20 km north of Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal Province, Rep. South Africa, below 1500 m elevation.
