Bufo taiensis Rödel and Ernst, 2000, Herpetofauna, Weinstadt, 22: 10. Holotype: SMNS 9269, by original designation. Type locality: "Elfenbeinküste: Taï-Nationalpark, 5° 15′—6° 07′ N, 7° 25′—7° 54′ W, etwa 23 km östlich der Ortschaft Taï", southwestern Ivory Coast.

Bufo amieti Tandy and Perret, 2000, Rev. Suisse Zool., 107: 390. Holotype: MHNG 2594.17, by original designation. Type locality: "lowland rainforest near Taï, Taï National Park, Côte-d'Ivoire (5° 52′ N 7° 28′ W, altitude 123 m)". Synonymy by S. Stuart In Frost, Grant, Faivovich, Bain, Haas, Haddad, de Sá, Channing, Wilkinson, Donnellan, Raxworthy, Campbell, Blotto, Moler, Drewes, Nussbaum, Lynch, Green, and Wheeler, 2006, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 297: 363, presumably based on a note attached to the distributed separate by Tandy and Perret noting the status of their name.

Distribution

Known from Tai National Park in southwestern Ivory Coast, although likely in adjacent Liberia; also reported from the Gola Forest of Sierra Leone near the western Liberia border.
