Distribution
Known only from forest patches associated to small streams and surrounded by coffee plantations, at Gunung Burni Telong, near the village of Rambune in the province of Aceh, Indonesia (Sumatra), 1519 m elevation.

Comment
The sister taxon of Sigalegalephrynus gayoluesensis, according to the original publication.
