Platymantis cagayanensis Brown, Alcala, and Diesmos, 1999, Proc. California Acad. Sci., Ser. 4, 51: 450. Holotype: PNM 6691, by original designation. Type locality: "disturbed Dipterocarp forest in Taggat Forest Reserve in Santa Praxedes Town, Central Cordillena, Cagayan Province, Luzon, at 50-100 m elevation", Philippines.
