Platymantis diesmosi Brown and Gonzalez, 2007, Copeia, 2007: 253. Holotype: PNM 8499, by original designation. Type locality: "Philippines, Luzon Island, Albay Province, municipality of Tiwi, Barangay Banshaw, Sitio Purok 7, area known locally as 'Tamagong,' 950 m above sea level, NW slope of Mt. Malinao, 13° 26′ 12″ N, 123° 35′ 24″ E".
