Platymantis pseudodorsalis Brown, Alcala, and Diesmos, 1999, Proc. California Acad. Sci., Ser. 4, 51: 454. Holotype: PNM 6689, by original designation. Type locality: "upper Dipterocarp forest on Mt. Banahao, Luzon Island, Philippines".
