Distribution

Andes of northeastern Colombia and adjacent Venezuela as well as the Cordillera de la Costa and the Península de Paria in the latter country; Trinidad and Tobago.

Discussed by Duellman and Gray, 1983, Herpetologica, 39: 333-358. See comment under FritzianaDuellman, 2015, Marsupial Frogs, discussed the genus as part of a larger review of the entire family.
