Type locality: "in a terrestrial bromeliad between the Abrigo IV and Pedra do Sino (22°27′37.1″S, 43°01′37.5″W; 2132 m a.s.l.), PARNASO, municipality of Teresópolis, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil".
