WGS84), municipality of Santo Amaro da Imperatriz, Santa Catarina State, Brazil".

Adult and larval morphology and molecular markers were discussed in the original publication. Langone, 2019, Herpetol. Brasil., 8: 39–44, discussed the history of misidentification leading up to the nameing of this taxon.
