Comment

Confused with Ecnomiohyla rabborum prior to its naming according to the original publication. Salazar-Zúñiga, Chaves-Acuña, Chaves, Acuña, Abarca-Odio, Lobón-Rovira, Gómez-Méndez, Gutiérrez-Vannucchi, and Bolaños, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (2: e215): 304–322, provided the first record for Costa Rica. Sasa, Arias, and Chaves, 2025, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 73(S2: e64536): 6, suggested that the specimens reported from Costa Rica, appear in morphology to be closer to Ecnomioihyla sukia, casting doubt on the veracity of the Costa Rican record.
