Hyla luctuosa Pombal and Haddad, 1993, Herpetologica, 49: 16. Holotype: ZUEC 9159, by original designation. Type locality: "near a water reservoir of the Departamento de Águas e Esgotos (DAE) in the Serra do Japí, município de Jundaí (approximately 23° 13′ S, 46° 48′ W; 870 m above sea level), São Paulo, Brazil".

Distribution

Known only from the Serra do Japí (Jundia), Atibaia, and Botucatu, São Paulo, in southeastern Brazil.

Hist., 294: 82-83. Carvalho, Giaretta, and Magrini, 2012, Zootaxa, 3321: 37-55, reported on advertisement call structure. Zornosa-Torres and Toledo, 2019, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 14: 71–79, reported on courtship behavior and advertisement call geographic variation.
