Bokermannohyla sapiranga Brandão, Magalhães, Garda, Campos, Sebben, and Maciel, 2012, Zootaxa, 3527: 30. Holotype: CHUNB 62384, by original designation. Type locality: "Brazil, Distrito Federal, Reserva Ecológica do Roncador (15° 55′ 49″ S, 47° 52′ 59″ W, 1110 m asl)".

Distribution

Known from the Distrito Federal and in the state of Goiás in the municipalities of Cristalina, Novo Gama, Catalão, and Pirenópolis, and east to Paracatu, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

In the Bokermannohyla pseudopseudis group according to the original publication. Carvalho, Giaretta, Teixeira, and Martins, 2013, Zootaxa, 3746: 383-392, compared the diagnosis of this species with Bokermannohyla pseudopseudis. Furtado, Santos, Dias, Bastos, and Nomura, 2016, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 11: 136–147, reported on vocal repertoire. Lins, Magalhães, Costa, Brandão, Py-Daniel, Miranda, Maciel, Nomura, and Pezzuti, 2018, Zootaxa, 4527: 501–520, provided a comparative description of the larvae of Bokermannohyla pseudopseudis and Bokermannohyla sapirangaVaz-Silva, Maciel, Nomura, Morais, Guerra Batista, Santos, Andrade, Oliveira, Brandão, and Bastos, 2020, Guia Ident. Anf. Goiás e Dist. Fed. Brasil Central: 62–63, provided an account. Santos, Feio, and Nomura, 2023, Biota Neotrop., 23 (3:e20231486): 1–43, characterized tadpole morphology as part of an identification key to the tadpoles of the Brazilian Cerrado.
