Bokermannohyla vulcaniae (Vasconcelos and Giaretta, 2005)
Hyla vulcaniae Vasconcelos and Giaretta, 2005 "2003", Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 17: 22. Holotype: ZUEC 8860, by original designation. Type locality: "Morro do Ferro, município de Poços de Caldas, Estado de Minas Gerais, Brasil".
Bokermannohyla vulcaniae — Frost, 2006, Amph. Spec. World, vers. 4.0. Recommended combination, suggested by implication of results of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294, which would place this species within Bokermannohyla.
Common Names
None noted.
Distribution
Municipality of Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Geographic Occurrence
Natural Resident: Brazil
Endemic: Brazil
Comment
Placed in Bokermannohyla here on the basis of the assignment of this species in the original publication to the Hyla circumdata group. This species was not mentioned by Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294, presumably due to the description not appearing until late 2005 or early 2006. Gaiga, Loiola, Mângia, and Pirani, 2013, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 8: 127–131, reported on the advertisement call and larval morphology.
