Distribution
Xeric and subhumid regions of from northeastern Maranhão to central Tocantins, to north-central Goiás east to Alagoas, and the northern Espinhaço Mountain Range, from middle Bahia state, where this mountain range ends, southward to northern Minas Gerais state, Brazil.
