Serra da Bocaina and Serra itatiaia, southeastern Brazil.

In the Scinax perpusillus group according to the original publication. In the Scinax catharinae clade, Scinax perpusillus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull.
