Osteocephalus heyeri Lynch, 2002, Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 26: 290. Holotype: ICN 46916, by original designation. Type locality: "Colombia, Amazonas, municipio Leticia, Km 18.5 carretera Leticia-Tarapacá y 1.5 km SE carretera a Nazareth, reserva 'Aguasclaras', 04° 05′ 02″ S, 70° 00′ 39″ W".

Distribution

Known from the type locality (near Leticia, Colombia) and adjacent Departamento Loreto, Peru, Amazonas, as well as Amazonas, Brazil near the Colombian border on the south bank of the Japurá River.

In the Osteocephalus alboguttatus species group of Jungfer, Faivovich, Padial, Castroviejo-Fisher, Lyra, Berneck, Iglesias, Kok, MacCulloch, Rodrigues, Verdade, Torres-Gastello, Chaparro, Valdujo, Reichle, Moravec, Gvoždík, Gagliardi-Urrutia, Ernst, De la Riva, Means, Lima, Señaris, Wheeler, and Haddad, 2013, Zool. Scripta, 42: 351–380. Melo-Sampaio, Ferrão, and Moraes, 2021, Breviora, 572: 12, provided a dot map that provided records from Colombia and Brazil.
