Distribution

Within 2 km of the type locality on the eastern Andean slopes of Morona Santiago Province, Ecuador, elevation 2350 to 2425 m.

Comment

In the Hyloscirtus larynopygion group and previously confused with Hyloscirtus lindae according to the original publication, where molecular markers and morphological distinctions were detailed. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 4: 450–451, provided an account, with photographs, which summarized identification, adult morphology, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
