Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Río Negro-Sopladora National Park, province of Morona Santiago, Republic of Ecuador, 3190 m elevation).

Comment

Likely in the Hyloscirtus larinopygion group, according to the original publication, where comparative morphology of the adult was detailed. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 4: 452–453, provided an account, with photographs, which summarized identification, adult morphology, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
