Litoria bibonius Kraus and Allison, 2004, J. Herpetol., 38: 203. Holotype: BPBM 16450, by original designation. Type locality: "S of Sibonai, 10° 10.980′ S, 150° 58.624′ E, 40 m elevation, south end of Sewa Bay, Normanby Island, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea".

Distribution

Normanby Island and Goodenough Island, presumably to be found throughout the d'Entrecasteaux Island group, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea.

Comment

A green species of obscure relationships according to the original publication; the species name is a noun in appostion as well. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 108, provided a brief account for this species which he included in his Litoria bicolor complex. Menzies, Richards, and Tyler, 2008, Aust. J. Zool., 56: 257-280, discussed the species as a member of their Litoria bicolor group.
