In the Litoria ewingii complex according to the original publication. See brief account by Tyler and Knight, 2009, Field Guide Frogs Aust.: 40–41. Cutajar, Portway, Gillard, and Rowley, 2022, Tech. Rep. Aust. Mus. Online, 36: 31, provided a polygon distribution map. Webster, White, and Whiting, 2023, Behav. Ecol. Sociobiol., 77(68): 1–11, reported on vocalization and nuptial coloration.
