Litoria purpureolata Oliver, Richards, Tjaturadi, and Iskandar, 2007, Zootaxa, 1519: 18. Holotype: MZB Amph. 12.997, by original designation. Type locality: "Tiri Camp (3° 17′ 30″ S, 138° 34′ 53″ E), 4.5 km SW Dabra, Mamberamo Basin, Papua Province, Indonesia".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (4.5 km southwest of Dabra, Mamberamo Basin, Papua Province (New Guinea), Indonesia), east into Papua New Guinea in West Sepik Province.

Comment

Most similar to Litoria infrafrenata and Litoria sanguinolenta according to the original publication. Kraus, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 246-248, provided the first records for Papua New Guinea.
