World: 264, within which M. Cunningham noted that two divergent genetic lineages exist. Kraus, 2013, Mem. Queensland Mus., 56: 581-587, remedied the polyphyly of nominal Nyctimystes by retaining this species in Litoria and recognizing a monophyletic Nyctimystes, which renders Litoria paraphyletic.
