Distribution

West-central Honduras north through Guatemala to Belize and along the Atlantic lowlands of Oaxaca and southern Veracruz, Mexico.

Resurrected from the synonymy of Agalychis callidryas by McCranie, Sunyer, and Martínez-Fonseca, 2019, Rev. Nicaraguense Biodiversidad, 52: 8, where it had been placed by Savage and Heyer, 1967, Beitr. Neotrop. Fauna, 5: 123.
